Smoked Flank Steak

Why settle for the regular grilled steak when you can enjoy a flavorful smoked steak? Following this recipe, you’re on your way to getting tender, juicy smoked flank steak.

  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb flank steak


  • Add all the marinade ingredients to a small bowl and whisk together until all the ingredients are combined thoroughly.
  • Put the steak into a Ziplock bag and add the marinade to the bag. Squeeze as much air out of the bag and seal. Place it in the refrigerator and let it sit there for 8 hours to marinate.
  • Preheat your Z Grills pellet smoker to 225°F using hickory pellets.
  • Remove the steak from the refrigerator. Place it on the smoker and smoke for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F or your preference of doneness.
