Smoked Sausage and Peppers

Smoked Sausage with Peppers and Onions is consistently delightful, vibrant, and effortlessly prepared. Learn how to smoke them on the pellet grill!

Equipment

  • Z Grills pellet grill 700D3
  • Competition pellets

Ingredients

  • Sausage (sweet or hot)
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Different color peppers
  • Olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • 16 Mesh black pepper
  • Nice rolls of your choice

Instructions

  • Slice onions and peppers
  • Add a touch of oil to the onions and peppers
  • Apply some salt and pepper to the onions and peppers
  • Add your sausage and onion and peppers to trays
  • Set your z grills @250f
  • Smoke for 1 hour or until and internal temp of 135-145f is reached
  • After 1 hour remove the sausage and peppers and onions
  • Once removed turn the temperature up to 400f-450f for high heat searing
  • Add the sausage directly to your bottom grates and cook for 10 min 165f+
  • Add onions peppers to re heat up
  • Remove and make up some smoky sausage and pepper sandwiches!
