Honey Chili Oil Chicken Wings

Learn how to master honey chili oil chicken wings at home on our pellet grill! Perfect for summer cookouts or satisfying weekend treat.

Equipment

  • Z Grills 700D4E wifi pellet grill
  • Z Grills Oak pellets

Ingredients

  • Seasoning  Ingredients

2 tbsp Brown Sugar 

    1 tbsp Kosher Salt 

      1 tbsp Paprika

         ½ tbsp Onion Powder 

          1 tbsp Granulated Garlic 

            2 tsp Ground Cumin 

              2 tsp Black Pepper 

                1.5 tsp Cayenne Pepper

                • Your prep for the Chicken Wings is as follows

                Mix all the above seasonings together and add it to the Wings. Put aside for later use-

                • Honey Chili Glaze Ingredients-

                1 Tsp Olive Oil

                  1 Tbsp sesame seeds

                    3 Garlic Cloves chopped

                      Honey (2-3 Tbsp)

                        PF CHANG'S sweet chili sauce(1/4 cup)

                          Instructions

                          • Add a touch of Olive oil to a small pot.
                          • Add 1 Tbsp sesame seeds to toast off
                          • After about 1 minute add in your Garlic(3 Cloves Chopped)
                          • After another minute or so add in your Honey(2-3 Tbsp)
                          • After 30 seconds add in your PF CHANG'S sweet chili sauce(1/4 cup)
                            Incorporate all that together and low simmer for around 5 minutes
                          • Oil for Frying: Fill up a frying pan about 1/2 to 1 inch from the bottom(Vegetable Oil)
                          • Smoke the Chicken wings @250f for approximately 1 hour turning half way through-. One the temp of 165f is reached, pull off to rest.
                          • Heat up your frying Oil to 350f…
                          • Add in the bigger pieces of wing sections first. Fry turning for approximately 2-3 minutes or until your desired crispness is achieved.
                          • Rotate in the smaller pieces adding only a few at a time. Once wings are crispy, remove to a paper towel lined bowl.
                          • Once all wings are done it is time to glaze and serve.

                          Notes

                          Cover the wings in the Honey Chili Glaze and toss thoroughly.
                          I like to finish off with some sesame seeds.
