Equipment
- Z Grills pellet grill 700D3
- Competition pellets
Ingredients
- Sausage (sweet or hot)
- 1 Onion
- 3 Different color peppers
- Olive oil
- Kosher salt
- 16 Mesh black pepper
- Nice rolls of your choice
Instructions
- Slice onions and peppers
- Add a touch of oil to the onions and peppers
- Apply some salt and pepper to the onions and peppers
- Add your sausage and onion and peppers to trays
- Set your z grills @250f
- Smoke for 1 hour or until and internal temp of 135-145f is reached
- After 1 hour remove the sausage and peppers and onions
- Once removed turn the temperature up to 400f-450f for high heat searing
- Add the sausage directly to your bottom grates and cook for 10 min 165f+
- Add onions peppers to re heat up
- Remove and make up some smoky sausage and pepper sandwiches!
