Ingredients
Dough
- 4 cups flour or more if needed
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup softened butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup warm water
Filling
- ½ cup softened butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbs cinnamon
Glaze
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbs vanilla
Instructions
Make the Dough
- Using a stand mixer, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Mix in butter until well incorporated.
- Add eggs and mix to combine.
- Pour in warm water and continue mixing until dough is formed. Add more flour if needed. You do not want the dough to be super sticky.
- Cover with a towel and let rise for 15 minutes.
- Combine all filling ingredients in a small bowl using a spoon.
Assembly
- Use a rolling pin or glass to roll out the dough on a floured surface. You want a consistent thickness around 1/2 inch.
- Spread the filling mixture onto the dough. Make sure you go all the way to the edges.
- Roll up the dough into a log.
- Slice the log to create individual rolls. I made 12, but you can go bigger or smaller to create the amount you want.
- Place the rolls on a cookie sheet.
- Preheat your smoker and set the temperature to 350 degrees.
- Cook at 350°F for 45 minutes until golden brown.
- Combine all glaze ingredients in a small bowl.
- Drizzle on rolls and top with diced bacon.
- Enjoy!
