Coffee Marinaded Tri-Tip recipe

This Coffee Marinaded Tri-Tip recipe uses bold flavors and is cooked on a Z Grills 700 series with cherry pellets. Marinated for 4-6 hours, the tri-tip is grilled to perfection at 275°F, then seared for a crisp finish. It's a simple, flavorful BBQ dish ready in under an hour. Perfect for grilling enthusiasts!

Ingredients

Coffee Marinade Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoon horseradish
  • 1/4 cup espresso powder
  • 1/4 cup  brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons coarse ground black pepper

Tri-Tip Ingredients

  • 2.5-3 Lb Tri Tip(cleaned)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Prep-

  • Add all marinade ingredients to a small bowl and mix well. Place tri-tip roasts in a resealable plastic bag. If so, Carefully add in the marinade to the bag andSeal. Place the bag into the refrigerator for 4-6 hours.  

Once the marinade is done-

  • Remove the Tr-Tip from the marinade and place in a colander to drain. disregard any marinade but do not rinse the tri-tip
    Add some S&P to the Tri(BOTH SIDES)

The Cook-

  • Once your ZGRILLS has reached that 275f, add in the Tri-TipCook the tri-tip to 110-115 for Med-Rare(approximately 1 hour)once that temperature is reached remove the tri-tipTurn your z grills to its highest temperature(450+)once that temperature is reached sear for 3 min, quarter turn, 2 minutes, flip then cook till the desired temperature is reached. remove let rest 10 minutes, slice and enjoy!
