- Cheery blend pellets
Ingredients
- 2 16 oz loaf French bread(left out overnight)
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
For the caramel sauce
- 3 cup coarsely chopped pecans(toasted)
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2/3 cup butter
- 3 tablespoon whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350
- Spray evenly including the sides a 9"x13" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cut stale bread into 1"-2" squares and add to large bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together your milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg until well combined.
- Pour over bread and stir gently to coat, let soak for about 20-30 minutes(important)
- Spread into a baking dish and bake in the oven for about 50-60 minutes until center is set.
Caramel Pecan Tart
- Arrange pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 7 to 10 minutes or until lightly toasted.
- Cool on a wire rack 15 minutes or until completely cool.
