Slow-Smoked Beef Chuck Roast with Cherry Pellets: Easy & Flavorful

- Tin, foil, and a rack
Ingredients
- 3-5 lb Beef chuck well marbled and about 3 inches thick
- Salt, Pepper, and Granulated Garlic or your favorite rub.
- 1/2 to 1 sliced onion
- 2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
- 1 TBS Prepared Horseradish sauce
- 1 teaspoon Better Than Bouillon beef base
- 1/8 cup water
Instructions
Simple prep
- up to 1 hour before the cook, apply a generous amount of your rub. In my case, S&P&G… Allow to sit at room temperature-
Recipe
- 1, Fire up your Z GRILLS and set that temperature to 250°F.. Im using cherry pellets.
- 2, Once your temperature is reached, add in your Chuck Roast middle shlf(grate)
- 3, At that 3-hour mark, check it for even cooking and give it a spritz. You should be around 140-150 internal. Let it run for another 1-2 Hours until you hit the stall. In my case, it was 2 hours.
- 4, Once that stall is reached, remove it along with the tin.
- 5, to the tin add 1/2 to 1 onion(sliced), 2 TBS Worcestershire sauce, 2 TBS prepared horseradish sauce, 1 teaspoon Better Than Bouillon beef base, and 1/8th cup water.Add one rack and your beef chuck on the rack and seal tightly with foil…
- 6, Once you reach approximately 204°F internal, it is time to remove. Just double check you are tooth pick tender-
