Equipment

  • Z Grills 700D4E Wood Pellet Grill
  • Z Grills Cherry Wood Pellets
  • 8-inch cast iron skillet
  • 2 medium-sized bowls
  • A spoon and a fork
  • Serving plates

Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 4 peaches, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup of light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of light brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt

For the crumble topping:

  • 4 tablespoons of butter, cubed
  • ¾ cup of self-rising flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat your Z Grills pellet smoker to 300˚F using cherry pellets.
  • Put the evenly sliced peaches into a bowl. Then, add half a cup of light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of corn starch, and a pinch of salt to your peaches, mixing thoroughly.
  • Scoop your peach cobbler mixture into an 8-inch cast iron pan, spreading it out evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, add ¾ cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 4 tablespoons of butter, 1 tablespoon of milk, and a pinch of salt. Mix them until a crumble consistency is achieved.
  • Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly on top of the peaches. Then, top this with an extra sprinkling of cinnamon and white sugar.
  • Place the skillet onto the preheated smoker and close the lid. Smoke for around 40 minutes.
  • After 40 minutes, if the topping has browned up and the peach filling is bubbling around the edges, it’s time to remove it from the grill.
  • Serve and enjoy.
